Middle School Students to Participate in the 2009 Middle School Honors Band

       Alexis, Mikayla, Justus, Brett and Ivan (pictured above) were chosen by the Ohio Music Educators Association to participate in the 2009 OMEA District VI Middle School Honors Band.

      The students rehearsed on Thursday, November 12, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at Barberton High School.  The students were able to meet other honors band students from around the area and make music at an advanced level.

       The students have another rehearsal on Friday, November 13, 2009 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. and then the concert at 6:00 p.m.  Please come and support our band students at this event.

       Input Practice Times Into Charms

Parents!!!  You can input your child's practice times into Charms Office instead of relying on the students to send them into Mr. Richardson.

Here's how it works:
1.  Go to www.charmsoffice.com
2.  On the right side of the page, click on in the field that says "Parent/Student Login"
3.  Type "BlackRiverMusic" (case sensative) into the field.
4.  A "Password" field will appear.  Type your child's student ID into the field and click the "Enter Charms" button.
5.  There will be a button that says "Practice Log."  Click on that button.
6.  Enter the minutes that your child practiced for that day and hit enter.

The students can also input their own times.  Because this way doesn't allow for a signature from the parent, Mr. Richardson will email you, the parents, to ask for confirmation.
